Special Performance of the Luxury Music Box “ORPHEUS KANATA” at The Rihga Royal Hotel Kyoto

We are pleased to announce that a special performance of the luxury music box “ORPHEUS KANATA” will be held in the 1st-floor lobby of The Rihga Royal Hotel Kyoto.
Following the success of our classical music exhibition and performance in February, which received high praise from many guests, we are delighted to bring it back for this occasion.
This time, the performance period includes Silver Week, and in addition to classical pieces, we will also feature beloved songs from animated films that appeal across generations.
We invite you to relax and enjoy a special moment, listening to the beautiful sound of the music box resonating throughout the hotel lobby.
■ Performance Period
September 1 (Mon) – September 30 (Tue), 2025
From September 13 (Sat) to 23 (Tue), during the national holidays, in addition to classical pieces, music from films and animations will also be performed.
Daily automatic performances of the music box will take place at irregular times.
Please note that installation dates may change due to transportation arrangements.

■ About the Exhibit
The February exhibition focused on classical masterpieces and was highly appreciated by our guests. This upcoming exhibition, timed with Silver Week, will feature both classical music and iconic songs from animated films loved across generations.
“ORPHEUS KANATA” is a luxury music box that combines the design expertise of world-renowned industrial designer Kiyoyuki Okuyama with the craftsmanship of Nidec Instruments. Its heart, the comb, is meticulously tuned by skilled artisans, with each tooth carefully adjusted. During performance, the comb is struck in sync with the movement, and the illuminated display creates a magical world of light and sound.
■ Concurrent Exhibition
During the same period, panels commemorating the 60th anniversary of the Kyoto–Florence sister city partnership will also be displayed in the lobby.
Guests can enjoy the music box’s beautiful sound while reflecting on the special bond with Florence and savor a relaxing moment.
