Dedication Performance of ORPHEUS KAIROS at Chion-in Temple, the Head Temple of Jodo Sect

Thank you very much for your continued support of the Nidec Orgel Showroom.

As we enter July, the summer light deepens, bringing the season to its full bloom.
From our showroom, which offers proposals for a life enriched with sound, we are pleased to announce a special dedication performance to provide you with a peaceful and serene moment.

A Prayer for Peace — 80 Years Since the End of World War II: A Dedication Through Sound

On Tuesday, July 15, 2025, in conjunction with the “Obon Ceremony and the 80th Anniversary Memorial Service for the End of World War II and Prayer for Peace” held at Chion-in, the Head Temple of the Jodo Sect, we will hold a dedication performance using an Orgel at the historically significant “Shukaido” (Assembly Hall), designated as an Important Cultural Property.

This dedication performance will feature our special model, the ORPHEUS KAIROS, which we also introduce at our showroom.

The ORPHEUS KAIROS is the flagship model of Nidec Instruments Corporation, launched on Wednesday, May 21, 2025. Developed in collaboration with world-renowned industrial designer Mr. Kiyoyuki Okuyama and KEN OKUYAMA DESIGN, it pursues a refined form and deeply expressive sound that captures the essence of music.

For this event, we will use a special Kyoto lacquer panel version of the KAIROS, created through collaboration with lacquerware artist Mr. Natsuki Kurimoto. This unique instrument, which fuses Kyoto’s traditional craftsmanship with modern precision technology, will fill the tranquil space of prayer with its resonant sound.

Founded in 1946 amid the postwar turmoil, Nidec Instruments Corporation has believed in the “power of sound” and has continued to create products that touch the hearts of people. Marking 80 years since the end of the war and looking forward to our 80th anniversary next year, we offer this dedication of sound as a prayer for peace.

We hope this dedication performance in the historic Shukaido will provide an opportunity to feel the “prayer for peace,” where each visitor can quietly listen to the music and reflect upon their own inner thoughts in a peaceful moment.
